The Frostfire Mine is a 30-minute solo event where your primary goal is to gather as much Orichalcum (event points) as possible. In this event, your troops cannot die permanently, and you are given free advanced teleports with cooldowns to navigate a map split into three zones.

Your main objective is to maximise Orichalcum collection before the 30-minute timer expires. You achieve this through three methods:

  1. Defeating Mine Patrols (NPCs) to gain Frostfire XP and Orichalcum.

  2. Occupying and Gathering Veins (Levels 1 to 3) spread across the map.

  3. Contesting the Smelter located in the heavily contested central zone (Zone 3).

PRE-EVENT PREP

Because this event require a mix of high-stamina NPC hunting, fast node-sniping, and potential PvP defenses, you need to structure your squad marches before the event starts.

  • Troop split: A reliable baseline is a 40% Infantry / 30% Lancer / 30% Marksman split.

  • Divide your squad into at least 3 marches equally:

    • Squad 1: Primary PvP & High-Tier Node

      >>> Flint or Jeronimo or Molly as the lead

      >>> Philly or Molly or Sergey
      >>> Alonso or Bahiti

    • Squad 2: Fast Moving Patrol & Node Sniper

      >>> Jessie as the lead

      >>> Your strongest hero
      >>> Your strongest hero

    • Squad 3: Multi-Utility

      >>> Jasser or Seo-yoon as the lead

      >>> Your strongest hero
      >>> Your strongest hero

STRATEGY

Rushing straight to Level 3 veins in the center is a trap unless you are a massive whale; you will get attacked constantly, and if your team is defeated, your heroes face a strict 5-minute cooldown block. Instead, use the below recommended strategy:

1. Phase 1: Early Game (0 – 10 Minutes) — XP Farming

  • Teleport to the outer zones (Zone 1 or Zone 2) where it is less crowded.

  • Dedicate all your available marches to hunt down and kill Mine Patrols. Do not gather from normal veins yet.

  • Use the XP from patrols to level up your Frostfire Talent Tree. Go down the Right Branch first:

    • 1st Skill (Right): Grants 1,500 Orichalcum per patrol defeated.

    • 2nd Skill (Right): Boosts troop march speed by 25%.

2. Phase 2: Mid Game (10 – 20 Minutes) — The Vein-Hopping Cycle

  • Once your 3rd skill is unlocked, shift to a split focus.

    • 3rd Skill (Left): Grants 5,000 Orichalcum instantly when you occupy a common vein (can trigger once per minute).

  • Continue killing patrols with all but one march. Dedicate one march exclusively to "Vein Hopping." Send it to occupy an open vein, wait 10–15 seconds for the instant 5,000 points to trigger, recall the march, and send it to a different vein. Repeat this every minute.

  • Around the 8-10 and 18-20 minute marks, an announcement banner will warn you of a Vein Outburst. The moment it hits, stop killing patrols. Send every single march to occupy Outburst veins.

3. Phase 3: Late Game (20 – 30 Minutes) — Smelter & Outbursts

  • The Smelter opens in Zone 3. If you are a powerful player, coordinate with your lineup to fight for it. If you are a mid-to-lower tier player, ignore the Smelter completely (it kills troop fast!)

  • Stick to the outskirt strategy, hunting Level 3 veins via vein-hopping and maximizing the final Vein Outbursts. Unlock your 5th Skill (Left) to boost gathering speed by 15% during the final stretch.
